Shabu shabu

  1. Ahh... shabu shabu. So nice they named it twice. With the influx of the Thai bride in the Surrey area, it would be an assumption to far to make that every dinner table on a Sunday is sporting a hearty roast of the bovine or porcine variety.

Shabu shabu is a traditional "sunday roast" of the far east and there is evidence that is has got a foot hold in the Surrey area.

Consisting of fine cuts of beef eaten by dunking it in a pot of hot stock and then using the said stock to make a vegetable stew and then with the remains making a porridge using short grain rice. It is in fact three meals in one toss.

    Biblical references inconclusive.
