Welsh Rarebit

  1. Now put your hands up if you thought it was Welsh Rabbit, I thought so, most of you. In fact it is rarebit or "rare bit"
Every region of surrey will have it indigenous recipe: go to Aldershot and its cheese, mustard and milk, go to Dorking they like to add a dash of Worcestershire sauce to it and those folk of Cobham do Welsh Rarebit bareback.

The "Swansea pizza" has it roots in Medieval culinary practice. EdwardII is said to have imprisoned the cow in the Tower of London whose cheese went to make the best Welsh Rarebit, as so no one could taste its divine gift or fromage de Dieu

A real Saturday afternoon special. Me,I like it as God intended with a glass of cider.
